Blade Cutting

Blade cutting is the process of cutting a workpiece with a blade. Saws, scissors, scalpels, or knives all fall into the blade category. A variety of industrial and commercial applications use blade cutting such as butchering, film/foil/paper slitting, mat cutting, medical practices, and many more. Metallurgists claim that carbon steel is, by far, the most superior material to fabricate sharp blades, but they can also include of stainless steel. It is possible to coat blades with a variety of materials such as boron carbide, titanium carbide or titanium nitride.
