As a Cyber Security Analyst - Operations, you are responsible for managing day to day operations of Security Device Management SIEM, CrowdStrike, incident response, threat hunting, Use case engineering, SOC analyst, and device integration with SIEM.

Role Description & Responsibilities

The Security Operations Center Analyst II will work as part of a team at the tier one level to monitor and defend against cyber threats to the organization's Cloud infrastructure and assess security systems and measures for weaknesses and possible improvements. In this role, you will protect the organizations online and on premise infrastructure, monitor events from multiple technologies to identify suspicious activity and identify and mitigate risks before an incident occurs. You will review incident notifications, triage and report their findings to senior team members. 

  • Able to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with co-workers both local and remote.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Qualifications

u  Education / Experiences

w  Engineer / Bachelor / MCA in computer science, information security or cybersecurity

w  2-4 years of experience in similar cyber security analyst role

w  Experience within an enterprise scale organization; including hands-on experience of complex data center environments, preferably in the finance or similarly regulated sector

w  Industry recognized cyber security related certifications including; CEH, EnCE, SANS GSEC, GCIH, GCIA and/or CISSP

w  Formal education and advanced degree in Information Security, Cyber-security, Computer Science or similar and/or commensurate demonstrated work experience in the same.

w  Excellent knowledge and demonstrated experience of common log management suites, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, use of “Big Data” and Cloud-based solution for the collection and real-time analysis of security information.

w  Good knowledge of key information risk management and security related standards including OWASP, ISO2700x series, PCI DSS, GLBA, EU data security and privacy acts, FFIEC guidelines and NIST standards

w  Strong OS Knowledge of Linux and Windows

w  Shell / Python Scripting

w  Incident Management

w  Security detection and analysis tools (SIEM, CrowdStrike Nexpose, Nessus, ect…)

w  Network infrastructure (internet, tcp/ip, ect...)

w  Web protocols (http, DNS, ect…)
