YOUR ROLE:

Materials Management Service is a strategically important core component that underpins the future of all 3DS brand materials-related products and services.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Product Management, and customer-facing teams, including those within other 3DS brands, to contribute towards overall 3DS materials management strategy and roadmap;
  • Contribute towards creating and validating project plans for the materials management team that will deliver the roadmap. Appreciate the need for frequent incremental delivery to our customers;
  • Participate in the definition of the architecture of the Materials Management Service and related components, proactivity to challenge and encourage new ideas
  • Coordinating with QA to ensure new and existing functionality has appropriate automated test coverage;
  • Work with the documentation team to document new features and improvements;
  • Act as a technical expert on the Materials Management Service and its supporting technologies. Be able to answer questions originating from customers as well as internally;
  • Regularly present your and the team's work to internal stakeholders and customers;
  • Keeping up to date with relevant tools, technologies, and processes. Seek out and act on opportunities to introduce them into the team;
  • Lead by example and contribute towards fostering a culture of openness, innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in computer science or related fields;
  • Experience in coding (web, cloud, algorithms, industry processes…);;
  • Experience of modern development techniques and environments (agile, web, cloud…);
  • Experience working as part of and with geographically dispersed teams;
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written;
  • Excellent presentation skills.

 

The ideal candidate would have experience with most of the following technologies and a desire to learn the rest:

  • Strong Java web application development;
  • Software architecture and design patterns and best practices;
  • Junit or similar testing framework;
  • Git;
  • Awareness of DevOps best practices;

 

Experience in the following would be a bonus:

  • JavaScript;
  • Shell scripting;
  • RDF / Graph database;
  • Angular / React UI development.
