About the Team:

The Pricing Director for the APAC region will help lead and shape pricing strategies to improve profitability and market competitiveness. You will report to the Head of Global Pricing Strategy and lead the APAC pricing initiatives to help drive the growth in the region. We ask that an understanding of pricing operations and analytics within the APAC markets. You will work with our global pricing, APAC sales leadership, marketing, and product development teams to ensure our pricing structures align with our goals and local market dynamics.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies tailored to the APAC region, considering market trends, competitive landscape, and customer demand.
  • Lead pricing operations, ensuring seamless execution of pricing strategies across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Conduct detailed pricing analysis and forecasts to inform strategic decisions, leveraging advanced analytics tools and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Finance, to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies, making data-driven adjustments as necessary to meet revenue and profitability targets.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics in the APAC region that may impact pricing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing strategy, operations, and analytics, with a specific focus on the APAC markets.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in pricing analytics tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different cultures and business units.
  • Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
  • luent in English, with proficiency in one or more languages prevalent in the APAC region being a plus.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
