About the Team:

Achieve sales, account growth, and client success objectives at one of our most strategic accounts - including identifying and qualifying platform growth opportunities, and efficiently using resources in order to bring opportunities to a successful conclusion. Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction - consistent with Medidata principles.

You will report into the Director of Mid Market Sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic account management plans for assigned accounts
  • Attainment of all revenue and booking targets within assigned territory
  • Represent Medidata in a manner consistent with company principles and ethics
  • Coordinate resources within sales and other departments
  • Maintain and update account and opportunity data within company systems as directed, including Salesforce.com
  • Quarterly and/or annual sales targets are covered under a separate document

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of life sciences industry, including R&D, Clinical, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and IT functions
  • Demonstrated consistent track record of being a trusted advisor within large accounts
  • Use a consultative approach to accomplish positive outcomes for clients
  • Demonstrated consistent track record in exceeding sales and related account targets
  • Ability to gain executive credibility, understand organizational political dynamics and competitive awareness
  • Strong application software experience
  • Demonstrated success with process approached selling
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Requires successful relevant experience

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
