Role Description & Responsibilities 
Your specific responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Lead person to coordinate and manage tax compliance tasks (including manage tax calendar, preparation, review/ validate and submission of Corporate Income Tax and Indirect tax filings (VAT/ GST) & WHT) for Asia legal entities in scope to ensure accurate and timely submission as required by tax regulations and tax authorities.
  • Lead person to ensure completion of tax computations, deferred tax calculations working & analysis, advice tax entries and tax reporting with Geo Tax and accounting team for corporate tax reporting to HQ, statutory fiscal accounts and tax compliance.
  • Manage and control financial reporting information related to IFRS, Local GAAP income taxes, and indirect taxes in accordance with 3DS corporate policies & guidelines, established global tax accounting policies, procedures, and practices, working closely with Geo Tax, Corporate HQ and Accounting team.
  • Lead and coordinate with GBS streams/ Treasury/ Local Finance, external tax consultant team to ensure tax payments and tax refunds are processed and settled within required timelines.
  • Participate in any tax audits/ compliance audits/ internal audits and respond to audit queries, lead and support the efforts from GBS and the communication in case of tax audits, manage preparation of required documents for addressing tax audit queries from tax authorities.
  • Act as Point of Contact to provide inputs relating to tax set ups and any required support for regional and corporate projects (e.g. RTR transformation, Tools development, Integrations, Corporate Simplifications, RPA, etc.) as needed. 

Qualifications 

  • Suitably tertiary qualified in accounting, with degree or Chartered or Certified Professional Accountant or equivalent, ACCA or CPA
  • At least 6-7 years working experience in accounting role with strong focus on APAC taxes, preferably with exposure to IT software industry or in a multinational environment with regional exposure in a shared services function
  • Working knowledge of APAC Local GAAP accounting and taxation requirements across APAC jurisdictions; experience of using ERP systems is critical and experience with ERP implementations is highly advantageous
  • Strong process control mindset, highly self-motivated with strong analytical skills as well as strong technical taxation/accounting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy Possess a process-oriented approach
  • Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin, ability to speak in other Asian languages (Japanese, Korean) is ideal but not mandatory
