Rouven Bergmann

Rouven Bergmann was appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Dassault Systèmes in January 2022. His role is to support the company’s momentum by applying best practices in finance operations and strategy to achieve sustainable growth and contribute to its rapid development. Bergmann is responsible for maintaining a solid framework that gives Dassault Systèmes the agility to transform, the headroom to invest and the resources to pursue its ambitious strategy. To this end, he focuses in particular on scaling subscriptions and making the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform Dassault Systèmes’ own administration system.

 

Drawing on his deep knowledge of software and cloud solutions, Bergmann played an important role in the integration of MEDIDATA following its acquisition by Dassault Systèmes in 2019. Before this latest appointment, Bergmann was Chief Operating Officer Life Sciences for Dassault Systèmes, overseeing MEDIDATA’s operations. He joined Medidata Solutions, a NASDAQ listed company based in New York, in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer. From 2015 until it was acquired, the business grew from $300M to more than $700M.

 

Prior to joining Medidata, Bergmann was Chief Financial Officer of SAP North America, a multi-billion dollar software business.

 

Rouven Bergmann holds master’s degrees in mechanical engineering and business administration from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, and a PhD in economics and finance from the University of Munich.
