A virtual twin experience is a closed-loop connection between the virtual and real worlds to create scientifically accurate complex systems – from cars to cities to human hearts – on which to experiment, resulting in a constant cycle of improvements. Virtual twins are rooted in scientific principles and go much further than digital twins, which represent the shape of a specific physical object in 3D. They allow you to visualize, model and simulate an entire environment and facilitate sustainable business innovation across the complete product lifecycle.
3DEXPERIENCE focuses on the end-user’s experience. PLM only focuses on the product, its features and how it’s produced.
We have not pulled out of PLM; it remains part of our solutions. But 3DEXPERIENCE is broader and lies at the heart of our distinctive positioning in the experience economy. It allows us to play in the new social industry world that our customers are facing and that requires them to evolve from “product attributes” to experiences. Learn more about PLM.
Legally, we’re a European company – but we have a global presence and market reach. We have headquarters in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific; specifically Velizy (outside Paris), Waltham (outside Boston) and Shanghai, respectively. But you can find us in over 140 countries! Pascal Daloz is our CEO, ascending to this position in 2024. He joined the company in 2001 as Vice President R&D and over time has lead Finance, Strategy, Marketing & Brands. Bernard Charlès is our Executive Chairman, having served as CEO from 1995-2023. He joined the company in 1983 as an intern and helped bring the company to our current position as the world leader in virtual universes and as the preferred partner for innovation. We sure are! After starting as a 3D Design company in 1981, then expanding to DMU, PLM and 3DEXPERIENCE, in 2020 we committed to transforming the organic world in the same way that we’ve been a catalyst and enabler for industrial transformation. This expansion of our scope calls for new areas of expertise, including biology, geology, materials science and more. Our strategy combines organic growth and acquiring firms that offer extensive expertise in these fields. We’ve also sustained a strong level of organic growth in all aspects of our business, especially R&D, and we've acquired over 20 firms in the past five years and over 60 since our founding.

The selection criteria may differ depending on your level of experience and area of expertise. After an initial screening by a recruiter, you will be contacted if your profile matches a job opening.
You will have a first interview with the recruiter, then with the hiring manager. Additional interviews with other stakeholders may be necessary.
- For non-English native candidates, an English test might be required.
- For developers or technical roles, a coding test might be required.
Every year, we host more than 1,000 students all over the world through internships, apprenticeships and work-study placements. Dassault Systèmes' certification program is a passport to future employability, and the demand for this certification is continuously increasing! Certification provides customers, users, partners, students and educators with a globally valuable index for measuring knowledge and skills to promote future-ready competencies.
Getting certified requires serious preparation! Our Professional Level Certifications require initial hands-on experience in addition to either training at a Dassault Systèmes Authorized Education Partner, your university or school, or online via 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Space. 3DEXPERIENCE Lab
The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab is is an open innovation lab that accelerates early-stage projects from startups, innovator communities and research laboratories. Its goal is to build a community of intelligent, creative and passionate people, focused on positively impacting society through the creation of disruptive, groundbreaking projects. Hundreds of projects have been put forward and supported by a community of around 2,000 mentors. The Lab currently supports around 50 projects in the United States, India and Europe (France and Germany).
The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab supports startups whose physical products must be able to be developed using 3D technologies and address at least one of the following five themes: City, Life, Lifestyle, Ideation and Fablab.
Every project must have the following criteria:
- be all upon the mass and collective intelligence;
- be a breakthrough/disruptive innovation in terms of products or services and;
- have an impact on society.

It connects people, ideas, data and solutions in a single collaborative environment. And so it empowers businesses – from the newest startup to the most established large enterprise – to innovate, produce and trade in entirely new ways.
Dassault Systèmes’ 13 brands are grouped by usage: social and collaborative applications: 3DEXCITE, CENTRIC PLM, ENOVIA; 3D modeling applications: SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, GEOVIA, BIOVIA; simulation applications: SIMULIA, DELMIA, 3DVIA; information intelligence applications: NETVIBES, MEDIDATA; and infrastructure for business experiences: OUTSCALE. These brands are focused on creating great user experiences and building vibrant user communities.
Absolutely – and more and more of our customers are deploying the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud. We continue to focus on getting more customers onto cloud; our cloud software revenue grew 12% in 2023, representing 24% of software revenue. Developing native cloud solutions is a major focus of our R&D efforts to help us continue to deliver breakthrough user experiences. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform is built around an online architecture. The 3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace is a cloud-based marketplace for digital design, engineering and manufacturing transactions. This means that rather than selling solutions to create a product, we make services available to facilitate that creation. From the user’s point of view, you’re not buying the solution; you’re buying the outcome of the solution.

All the solutions/roles of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform available for purchase online are Cloud-based. However, all our 3DEXPERIENCE Platform on the Cloud portfolio is not available for purchase online. If you have specific needs, do not hesitate to contact us so we can find the best solution for you.

b. Solution under support automatically grants you access to all corresponding releases, levels and fixes. - In “Download My Orders” section, you will access the list of Media Orders containing software download access for past Purchase Order.
- In this section software can be accessed and downloaded even if you are not supported anymore for the corresponding solutions.
