Executive Vice-President, Research & Development

Florence Hu-Aubigny > Dassault Systèmes®

Florence Hu-Aubigny has been a member of the Research & Development management team at Dassault Systèmes, the global leader in virtual worlds, for 30 years. During this time, she has designed and managed the company’s key technological developments, driven notably by the advent of 3D modeling and the internet. These two turning points in technology constitute the fundamental contribution of 3D to innovation and productivity, as well as to the creativity of both organizations and individuals.

Florence Hu-Aubigny was appointed to the Executive Committee in 2020, taking responsibility for all Dassault Systèmes development activities. Her task is to develop the solutions delivered through the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform in three major sectors: Manufacturing Industries, Life Sciences & Healthcare, and Infrastructure & Cities. The purpose is to provide organizations with immersive, cloud-native mobile solutions that are available to everyone.

Florence Hu-Aubigny began her career at Dassault Systèmes in 1991 as part of the Feature Based Modeling team. Later, she was notably responsible for the rollout of the market's first- ever functional modeling technology, which made it possible to automatically generate a 3D model integrating all functional requirements.

As of 2006, Florence spearheaded projects aimed at diversifying and democratizing 3D technology: she coordinated the technological launch of the 3DVIA brand and the development of the 3DSWYM and ENOVIA applications. She was subsequently appointed Vice President R&D for ENOVIA.

In 2011, as Dassault Systèmes positioned itself as "The 3DEXPERIENCE Company", Florence Hu-Aubigny took responsibility for the development of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, which provides access to social and collaborative applications, 3D design applications, simulation and content applications, and data intelligence applications via a single source.

Florence Hu-Aubigny is a graduate of Centre d'Etudes Supérieures des Techniques Industrielles (CESTI), since renamed Institut supérieur de mécanique de Paris (Supméca). She also holds a DEA post-master’s degree in Computer Aided Production Management (CAPM) from Ecole Normale Supérieure (Cachan). She holds the rank of Knight in the French Legion of Honor.
