Erik Swedberg
Executive Vice-President, Americas
Since 2020, Erik Swedberg has been a member of Dassault Systèmes Executive Committee, heading up the Americas organization (North America and Latin America). His role is to head field activities for all Americas, to continue to grow Dassault Systèmes’ business in the strategic sectors of the economy the company serve: Manufacturing Industries, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Infrastructure & Cities.
Erik helps customers transform their business and organization to embrace a sustainable economy, create new possibilities in terms of markets and ultimately address larger audiences among consumers, professionals, patients and citizens.
Erik and his team use our powerful network of local customers, users, partners, and influencers, to serve our clients, generate new market opportunities, and transform Dassault Systèmes’ footprint through sectorial and geographical diversification across all engagement models.
Erik inherently builds strong, trusted, partner relationships and brings a full kit of capability having worked in Tech sales, services, business consulting and sales. During his years with Dassault Systèmes, Erik has acquired wide-ranging experience in many industries such as High Tech, Automotive, Industrial Equipment and Aerospace & Defense.
Erik joined the company in 2006 when Dassault Systèmes acquired MatrixOne where he led a team of business consultants. Erik Swedberg was first responsible for overseeing major business transformation initiatives for the Aerospace and Defense Industry, helping global customers bring innovative solutions to solve complex business challenges. Erik was also responsible for laying out the blueprint for new service business models and advised customers –like GE Healthcare, Eaton and Pentair – on product system architectures. For 7 years Erik has led the relationship with Boeing at global level.
In 2019, he was appointed Managing Director North America having the mission to strengthen the leadership of the area and make it a driving force for the development of Dassault Systèmes’ business.
Erik attended the University of Minnesota for Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering.
