We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about the release of BIOVIA Notebook 2024 that includes the following fixed issues:

This release of BIOVIA Notebook 2024 includes the following enhancements:

| CELN-13185 | User groups can now be listed, created, edited, and deleted using the web client. This includes managing the following properties of a group: membership in other groups, sub-groups, member users, permissions on other users and groups, privileges on section types, and system privileges. |
| CELN-13203 | In the Users administration page in the web client, it is now possible to view and edit the selected user's permissions to view and administrate other users and groups. The view also displays permissions inherited from the groups to which the selected user belongs. |
| CELN-13242 | When creating or editing a group in the web client, the case of the group name is preserved. Hence, multiple groups with names that differ only by case are not permitted. Retrieving a group by name still works in a case-insensitive manner. |

| CELN-13181 | Users can now change the default font of the Integration section as well as the default font size of the Body Text, Image annotations, and Integration sections. |
| CELN-13429 | The correct version of the Desktop Connector client is now always downloaded from the Desktop Connector page in the Notebook web client, even if an older version exists in the browser cache. |
| CELN-13493 | Enhanced the Audit Trail page of the Notebook web client by adding functionalities for filtering rows, showing and hiding columns, and exporting the logs to an Excel spreadsheet. |
| CELN-13496 | Notebook now uses the CKEditor 5 version 38.1.0 to edit the Body Text sections, resulting in faster loading of experiments and templates with multiple Body Textsections. New editor features include adjusting the table and table column width by dragging. |
| CELN-13504 | Users are able to export the selected search results of the group list to an Excel spreadsheet. |
| CELN-7364 | The private and public template library page now displays the "Author" and "Edited" columns. |
| CELN-13469 | On the new installation of the Notebook Oracle database, the database installation is aborted if the package CTX_DDL is not installed. The CTX_DDL preferences, CTXSYS.DEFAULT_LEXER and CTXSYS.DEFAULT_WORDLIST are created if they are not present. |
| CELN-13497 | Users can now select multiple projects and list the experiments associated with these projects from the My Projects and All Projects list. |

| CELN-5577 | Previous co-signers now do not have experiment in "Me to Sign" when a new co-signer is assigned. |
| CELN-8137 | Submitted experiments marked as Invalid using an errata section are now included in the co-signer's "Me to sign" reminder list |
| CELN-12093 | The Recent Experiment lists on the notebook/experiments page shows up to 20 recently changed experiments and no longer shows the "More" link. |
| CELN-12289 | Audit trail records for login and logout events now correctly show "ElnClient" when a user logs in or out in the Notebook web client. |
| CELN-12782 | When the browser window width is narrower than the Experiment width, the vertical scrollbar to the right of the experiment content and the horizontal scroll bar below the experiment content is shown. |
| CELN-13125 | When cloning an experiment, references to related experiments in the original experiment are now correctly copied to the clone. |
| CELN-13492 | Logging of read events in the experiment audit trail is improved to cover both experiment objects and experiment content. The minimum time interval between creating identical records can now be configured to reduce the number of audit trail records. |
| CELN-13595 | A problem, introduced in 2023 SP1, where extra page breaks were added when generating a PDF file of an experiment has been corrected. Section header and section content now appear on the same page whenever possible. |
| CELN-13635 | It is now possible to delete an experiment that contains sections that have section bucket items associated. |
| CELN-12860 | Users cannot edit Word files in the File Attachment section on Mac OS. |
| CELN-12987 | The functionality in BIOVIA Draw of Structure to IUPAC Name is grayed out when Draw is opened from BIOVIA Notebook. |
| CELN-13373 | In certain installations the user get email notification for non-selected options. |
| CELN-13582 | Selecting 20 pages to display in a PDF section during an upload fails with error; Failed to render page images. |
| CELN-13583 | The time zone should be correctly configured when a Notebook authenticates with a hub that utilizes 3DPassport. |
| CELN-13663 | On one specific test system, the experiment number field experiences a delay in populating with the experiment number for a small number of users. |
| CELN-13665 | In a specific instance, there was an authorization failure with the server in the Mac OS Desktop Connector. |
| CELN-13655 | Sometimes, when using Desktop Connector over a VPN, there may be issues with the timing. Restarting the Desktop Connector can often resolve this problem. |
| CELN-13685 | The text entered in the [Body Text] section disappears when a user performs a specific operation. |
| CELN-13710 | Selecting text color background issue in some cases. |
| CELN-13711 | On Science Cloud Co-signer has to click the notification several times to co-sign experiment in some cases. |
| CELN-13716 | Special case of handling one author not active anymore in the system. |
