We are providing this Technical Note to inform you about the release of BIOVIA Insight for Excel 2025 which includes the following enhancements and fixed defects:
Enhancements
This release of BIOVIA Insight for Excel includes the following enhancements.

| ESDX-4849 | Updated WAF form treats MoleculeTypeat par with Chemistry and ChemistryType. |
| ESDX-6019 | Unknown double bonds in small 'Kekule' structures are now correctly identified in SMILE to structure conversion. |
| ESDX-6295 | MS Teams and other modern web browsers use SVG image format to display pictures. With this enhancement in Insight for Excel, we will provide an option to the users to save Excel sheet with chemistry images in SVG format. |
| ESDX-6325 | Chemistry names with special characters (Japanese or German characters) will now show up correctly in the excel cells. |
| ESDX-6383 | Insight for Excel is able to transfer chemistry data (reaction and molecule) from Excel cell to ChemDraw 23. |
| ESDX-6298 | Modified sugar depiction in Insight for Excel is in sync with Draw depiction. |
Fixed Defects
This release of BIOVIA Insight for Excel includes the following fixed defects.
| Defect | Description |
|---|---|
| ESDX-6283 | With this fix, number of characters that can be accommodated in a cell will be about 29000 (including blank spaces) which is closer to MS Excel limit of 32,767. |
| ESDX-6301 | PLP settings synchronization for Chirality labels were not work correctly. With this fix they work in sync with other settings. |
| ESDX-6355 | Error message string has been sanitized to not show garbled message. |
