The QJLauncher, short for “Quintiq Java Launcher”, is the main way to start the Quintiq Thin Client as of version 5.41). It is not required to pre-install Java anymore to run the Thin Client when using the QJLauncher.
To install the QJLauncher for yourself, as a user with or without administrative privileges, run “QJLauncherSetup.exe” and follow the straightforward wizard instructions.
The QJLauncher will be installed under your user directory in “.quintiq/QJLauncher/profiles/default”, and .qjlauncher files will be associated (only for yourself) with the “bin/QJLauncher.exe” from the QJLauncher directory.
After this, you can click on the .qjlauncher link of the Quintiq environment you want to use and the QJLauncher will start the Quintiq Thin Client accordingly.
QJLauncher installer only: QJLauncherSetup-1.4.10.exe [72 MB]
Full QJLauncher Package: QJLauncherDeploymentTool-1.4.10.zip [681 MB] (also contains installers)

More information
The QJLauncher is required to use Java11 1) or higher as (JNLP-based) Java Web Start is no longer supported – see Java11 Support in Quintiq.
The QJLauncher will download the necessary files to run the Thin Client as well as the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) which it needs to launch the Thin Clients. This means that the JRE is no longer required to be installed.
The QJLauncher can be used to start Thin Clients for any Quintiq installation version 5.4 2) or higher. An administrator needs to have deployed a customized QJLauncher web distribution, which contains the .qjlauncher file which, in turn, end users (planners) can start the Thin Client with.
The QJLauncher can be installed in several ways as described in more detail here.
Further information about the QJLauncher can be found in its main documentation page.
1) , 2) starting with versions 5.4.2.6, 5.5.2.4, 5.6.2.1 and 6.0.0.0
