E-seminar Overview
Infrastructure, Energy & Materials
Discover the wide range and necessity of current MBS applications within the wind turbine sector.
E-seminar highlights: Overview and benefits of Dassault solutions; How MBS software is being used throughout the industry; Why high fidelity MBS simulation is necessary
SIMULIA DigitalROCK provides a virtual lab for analyzing reservoir rock samples. The DigitalROCK computational modeling solution uses a high-resolution 3D image of a rock sample as input to determine important fluid related properties including pore size distribution, absolute permeability, relative permeability, and capillary pressures.
E-seminar highlights: Explanation of DigitalROCK; validation and benefits of DigitalROCK; example use cases of DigitalROCK.
Gear meshing plays an important part in the vibrational and acoustical behavior of gearboxes and drivetrains.
We start with an introduction of the different tools addressing multi-phase. We will then look at Soiling and Water management within the T&M industry, Pandemic simulations with regards to PPE and HVAC design, Dynamic Flooding/Stability for Marine and Offshore, Gear lubrication for Industrial Equipment and DigitalROCK for Oil and Gas.
A demonstration of this capability will be provided for an A&D application but extensions to other industries will be summarized.
Gear meshing plays an important part in the vibrational and acoustical behavior of gearboxes and drivetrains. This is especially relevant for analyzing electric drives. To reproduce the behavior in a simulation model, all these elements have to be represented in an appropriate way (e.g. as flexible bodies or force elements) meaning multibody simulation is the tool of choice.
Additive manufacturing still presents many challenges, including part distortions, residual stress and microstructural defects.
E-seminar highlights: Leverage the latest generative design technology to optimize parts; increase build success with optimized part orientation and support structures; predict build failure, part quality and performance with validated simulation methods.
We present and demonstrate a new 3DEXPERIENCE app for calibrating Abaqus material models. This new tool is based upon an optimizing framework and accepts many different kinds of test data, and is able to calibrate many different Abaqus material models. Current Abaqus users can use this 3DEXPERIENCE app on-cloud, or 3DEXPERIENCE users can use it on-premise or on-cloud.
Learn how to design intelligent support structures, process simulation best practices and apply XFEM to predict potential build cracks during the LPBF-AM process.
Explore what an EMP is and how it can be modeled in SIMULIA CST Studio Suite to study the effects of an EMP event. Electromagnetic pulse (or EMP) is a short burst of very high, radiated electromagnetic energy and it has the potential to disrupt or destroy high-tech infrastructure and vehicular systems.
We show how to further improve the efficiency of lattice structures using the example of a turbine blade geometry. We will show the process of lattice generation in Abaqus, the application of appropriate in-service loading conditions, the import of the optimized result into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, and finally perform a thermal-mechanical process simulation.
We discuss how the Verity® module in fe-safe can help you reduce testing expenses and avoid over-engineering.
See how we can use Isight and Abaqus to simulate the problem by taking into account manufacturing tolerances and material variation to estimate the probability that fluid can contact the O-ring.
