It is with very great sadness that Dassault Systèmes learned of the passing of Serge Dassault, Chairman of Groupe Industriel Marcel Dassault. Serge Dassault was strongly attached to Dassault Systèmes. From the outset, he enthusiastically supported the vision and industrial goals set for the company, which was founded in 1981 by Charles Edelstenne, with the support of Marcel Dassault. As a majority stakeholder in the company, Serge Dassault consistently endorsed the technological and strategic challenges launched by Bernard Charlès over the past thirty years, including the digital mockup, product life cycle management and 3DEXPERIENCE, which have helped make Dassault Systèmes a world leader in 3D and a flagship of the Group.
