‘Innovate with V5 Openness’ at DEVCON 2006 Paris, June 27-28, 2006

Two-day forum of Dassault Systèmes’ worldwide ecosystem will empower CAA V5 developers, partners and customers

Paris, France, March 22, 2006 — Dassault Systèmes (DS) (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced the dates of its annual CAA V5 DEVCON Conference, where customers and partners can meet to learn the latest information on the Component Application Architecture (CAA) V5 development platform for PLM solutions, in Paris on June 27-28, 2006.

“The conference reinforces DS’ worldwide commitment to helping our customers and partners discover new ways to grow their businesses within the DS ecosystem,” said Dominique Florack, executive vice president, Research & Development. “It’s an efficient way to hear the very latest information on the Dassault Systèmes portfolio of solutions, thus extending businesses’ knowledge networks.”

DEVCON, the annual developers’ conference which supports and unites the CAA V5 community, continues to grow and gain momentum: the fifth edition in 2005 saw growth in attendance, clearly testifying to the heightened interest across all sectors and technology suppliers, and demonstrating the power of the CAA V5 platform to drive innovation in PLM solutions.

The DS ecosystem includes more that 500 partners in the fields of technology, software and services, education, and development, serving customers across diverse industries. The CAA V5 partner network is a particularly successful component of the ecosystem, providing an open software development platform that enables customers, partners and independent software companies to design leading-edge applications that seamlessly complement the Dassault Systèmes’ PLM portfolio.

The CAA V5 program is part of Dassault Systèmes’ powerful ecosystem of alliances and partnerships, which recently won the 2006 Alliance Program Excellence Award presented by The Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (A.S.A.P), recognizing the dramatic success the company has achieved in its alliance programs through excellent management.

An extensive array of plenary and breakout sessions, technological and methodology workshops will give DEVCON 2006 attendees the chance to meet DS’ executives and experts face to face, and hear the latest advances in Enterprise Collaborative Business Process infrastructure. Also on the agenda will be the most up-to-the-minute developments with SIMULIA, Dassault Systèmes’ new open multi-physics platform; and 3D For All, the breakthrough initiative for opening 3D to every user, including 3D XML, which lets participants share live, accurate 3D data quickly and easily,

This year, the first day of DEVCON is aimed at executives and managers as well as developers, offering a full program of business-related topics geared to give managers an overview of the profitable ways to align their products with DS’ V5 PLM strategy. The second day offers more detailed technological insights, with a program of free consultations and workshops led by DS’ experts, benefiting technical and project managers, developers, engineers and programmers.

“Gehry Technologies was pleased to be invited to participate in DEVCON in 2004 and 2005.  DEVCON has provided us with good insights into very useful new CAA capabilities and best practices,” commented Alan Hudin, director of Product Development, Gehry Technologies. “DEVCON also gave us an introduction to companies working with DS in the manufacturing domain, which were also interested in working with us in the Building Construction domain.”

“We are looking forward to attending this year's DEVCON conference once again,” noted Alain Di Crescenzo, Chairman and CEO, IGE+XAO. “It is a unique opportunity to share best practices, and gives us the possibility to address and solve our business challenges and get our products aligned with DS to ensure future success. We look forward to actively participating in DEVCON 2006.”
