Dassault Systèmes to Hold Asia’s Largest PLM User Conference, “JCF 2008”

New Ways with 3D, the Next Digital Monozukuri

Tokyo, Japan, June 2, 2008 –Dassault Systèmes (DS) (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) today announced it will hold JCF 2008, Asia’s largest PLM user conference, in June. Attendees will learn about the latest developments in PLM and the benefits that PLM brings to a variety of customers in multiple sectors. JCF 2008 is being hosted with IBM at the Tokyo Prince Hotel in Shiba Koen, June 9-10. 

On June 9, Mr. Masaki Kawada, operating officer of Honda Engineering Co., Ltd., will present a management’s perspective on digital process innovation.  Bernard Charles, president and CEO of Dassault Systèmes, will discuss how DS is again redefining the market and opening new possibilities with PLM 2.0 on its V6 platform, which will provide a single platform for global online creation that spans from multidisciplinary engineering groups to business users and consumers, thus enabling the PLM community to find new ways to be more innovative, efficient and global.

Over 50 customer-led workshops will explore this year’s theme, “New Ways with 3D, the Next Digital Monozukuri”.  In addition to traditional manufacturing verticals, the demonstrations will also cover ENOVIA solutions for new industries including Apparel and Semiconductors, and 3DVIA solutions for both consumers and designers will be introduced as well. Besides  Honda Engineering, other notable speakers include Mr Al Bunshaft, vice president of IBM PLM Solutions, and customer speakers such as Kawasaki Hydromechanics Corporation, Daikin Industries, Ltd., Taira Promote Co., Ltd. and Lion Corporation. 

Partners like Argo Graphics Inc, Hewlett-Packard Japan, Ltd., D.I. Square Co. Ltd., Toshiba Solutions Corporation, Nihon Unisys Ltd., Fasotec Co. Ltd., and Microsoft Co. Ltd. will be giving demonstrations at the event’s TechniFair.
