Dassault Systèmes and Productivity Engineering Team Up to Provide Tailored Solutions for High-Tech Customers

Integrating Electronic Design and Product Data Management Helps Customers Save Money and Increase Efficiency

Paris, France, September 27, 2007–Dassault Systèmes (DS) (Nasdaq:  Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced a partnership with Germany-based Productivity Engineering (PE). The partnership will enable customers in the high-tech market to integrate their electronic design data and processes with DS’s ENOVIA SmarTeam and ENOVIA MatrixOne solutions, enabling customers from mid-market to large enterprises to collaborate more effectively throughout their electronic design and business processes, resulting in shorter time to market for electronics products.

“The integration of a customer’s electronic design with effective product lifecycle management systems such as ENOVIA offers huge benefits with regard to the efficiency and cost transparency of customers’ processes and operations,” says Manfred Gehring, general manager of Productivity Engineering. “DS’s ENOVIA solutions demonstrate real expertise in PLM, which complements our know-how in linking E-CAD systems to leading manufacturers’ PLM systems.”

“The high-tech industry, which includes the electric and electronic sub-segment, has seen a tremendous growth recently”, said Laurent Cherprenet, director, Dassault Systèmes High-Tech Industry Solutions. “Effective data management in this segment is critical due to the complex design, logical and physical requirements. This is a strategic high growth market for us and PE is a leader in this field.”

PE is a full partner in the DS Component Application Architecture (CAA) Software Community Program. The CAA program is part of Dassault Systèmes’ powerful ecosystem of alliances and partnerships. Dassault Systèmes recruits software and technology partners to provide customers with the most comprehensive and integrated array of applications in the industry, to design and simulate the virtual product, plan, create and monitor its production, and manage its life cycle. The CAA community continues to successfully expand with now over 6,000 developers using CAA, more than 160 companies issuing over 450 specialized software products to extend the Dassault Systèmes’ PLM portfolio across CATIA, ENOVIA, SIMULIA and DELMIA.
